Bronx Library Center's 6th Annual Job Expo

Over 2,000 people lined up to apply for the possible hundreds of job openings that were available at Wednesday's Job Fair. The community room was filled with government employers such as the NYPD, MTA, Parks Department, and NYPL. There were also many private companies and non-profits with job openings. The photos below should tell the rest of the story.

Above - The line went around two corners as over 2,000 people came looking for a job.
Below - State Senator Gustavo Rivera was very happy to see over 2,000 people come to the Job Fair at the Bronx Public Library, but he said there were not enough jobs to go around for everyone on the lines.

Above - Community Board 7 had a table, and after Tuesday night's full board meeting it was unclear if current CB 7 District Manager Andrew Sandler was collecting names to be his replacement or for other jobs.
Below - The NYPD is always looking for good citizens to become police officers or School Safety Officers.

Hope Home Care was one of the many private or non profits who had job openings.
